Wheelbase: 60"In 1940, Indian Motorcycles fitted long sweeping fender valances to their top of the line Chief Models and instantly created what would become an iconic styling element that would forever after be associated with the brand.\The 1948 Indian Chief pictured here was treated to a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration. Simply stunning in appearance, the motorcycle is finished with a unique show quality two-tone black and metallic charcoal silver paint scheme. The motorcycle's seat and saddlebags are finished in black leather; the seat center is embossed with the Indian Chief logo and leather fringes run around the seat's perimeter. The chrome work was done to high quality show standards and remains virtually flawless today. This classic Indian Chief would make a great addition to any collection, as it represents one of the finest of its kind.
