An unusual pair of leather shoes, Swiss or German mid 19th century, with rounded toes, short, narrow shaped heel, pierced and stamped leather tongues and latchets with cast brass buckles, 26cm, 10 1/4in long, (2)

the leather is dry and brittle, the tongue on one has a split, the end of one of the pierced leather lace latchets is missing as is the low heel of the same shoe and a large area of the tongue
