Egypt, Late Dynastic, Dynasties 26 through 30, ca. 662 to 315 BCE. Wooden bird that one sat upon a sarcophagus and was mounted with a dowel. Covered in gesso and painted dark brown and with black circular eyes. Size: 6-3/4"L x 4"H.

Provenance: Ex-Sarkisian Gallery Denver, CO, acquired before 1970.
