Origin: Germany Circa: 1877-1955 Style: Arab Shake. H: 37" by W: 26" Ex-International Museum By: Emil Epple. This fine statue came from the International Museum. It was originally donated from the artist's estate. He lived in the Netherlands escaping the German military service during WWII. Epple was a fierce Anti-Nazi. This fine, large piece is unbelievably detailed. Epple lived in Munich and fled as an outspoken anti-Hitler activist to Holland and went into hiding in the Hague, stayed married, and died there. He was also a painter and had several exhibitions. Signed E.Epple at the base.
