13 5/16" high and 9 5/16" wide autographed photograph of Adm. Richard E. Byrd. Photo has the gold portrait studio stamp reading, " White's Studios Newark O. 1932". This lot was part of the Walter W. White Collection. Walter W. White (1901-1976) had exhibitions in 57 countries throughout the world. He was an associate of the royal photographic society of Great Britain. He won 1st. prize in the world in international competition in color photography and is rated 27th high man in the world. White had won over 450 awards and medals internationally. He was judged and lectured in 4 states and has been in the same location in Newark for 27 years. Probably the most famous photograph in White's collection is his 1935 study of the late Jean Harlow which won him world praise and was termed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios as the "most publicized still of any movie star who ever lived.

Condition

FRONT: Very minor wear on edges. BACKING: Adhesive residue throughout, top layer of backing removed by adhesive - both resulting from prior mounting on display board or mat. Otherwise, very good condition.
