Broadside featuring a depiction of six woodcut coffins, each ornamented by a skull & crossbones with winged angels at the corners. Published by John Binns, Philadelpia, Pa., 1828. Each coffin bears the name of a militia man and describes his fate in terms prejudicial to Jackson. Below the coffins the stanzas of "Mournful Tragedy" describe the event in the most pathetic possible terms [Sheet: 21" H x 15 1/2" W]. Glued down to conforming board, uneven age toning, fold wear, age stains, and small holes at bottom right corner in margin.
