Prints1876 Currier & Ives Print, "Custer’s Last Charge", Very Fine.
13.5" x 9.5", matted to an overall size of 16.25" x 12.25", hand-colored. Creased and folded, with sealed marginal tears along the top and right edges. Nonetheless, this is an impressive print, with Custer seated atop his steed, a sword in his raised right arm. The full title reads: "Custer’s Last Charge. Brevet Major-General George A. Custer, Lieutenant Colonel 7th U.S. Cavalry. Killed in the battle with the Sioux, June 25th, 1876."
