Description
A lot of 4 Egyptian steatite scarabs. Lot includes three of 2nd Intermediate steatite examples, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, one with a reclining goat, (16 x 12mm), with a Red Crown of the Delta and a lotus, (12 x 8mm), and the other with a corded device, (16 x 11mm). The last is a New Kingdom type, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, featuring a scarab (kheper) between a pair of erect cobras (uraei), (17 x 12mm). A nice group with light deposits. Each holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Collection of an Cheltenham, England Doctor From the 1950's.
