Description
An Egyptian limestone canopic jar head of Imsety, New Kingdom, c. 1550-1075 B.C, with nicely carved facial features with eye and eyebrow detailing done in black paint. A very pleasing example with great style! H: 4 ¾ in (12.1cm). An old collection label is on the top of the head and old collection notes in black on base. Ex UK private collection, South London, acquired from Juergens, Inc., New York, in 1979.
