12mo (160x116 mm), contemporary half blue leather binding, gilt title at spine, marbled paper at boards, blue sprinkled edges; pp. 123,  plate,  folding plate. An engraved portrait of the Saint in an oval at frontispiece and a folding plate at the end of the etxt, with the genealogy of the Saint.
St. Aloysius Gonzaga (Italian: Luigi Gonzaga; March 9, 1568 - June 21, 1591) was an Italian aristocrat who became a member of the Society of Jesus. While still a student at the Roman College, he died as a result of caring for the victims of an epidemic. He was beatified in 1605, and canonized in 1726.
