R-019 Chinese sword. Traditional double-edged 29 1/4" blade. 3" panel is etched with a landscape scene - reverse has Chinese characters. White metal violin-shaped pommel, ferrule and wide "arrowhead" type crossguard. Black painted wood scabbard with white metal throat, bands and tip. (Purchased from a Chinese antique shop, by a member of the consignors family, in 1936.) Orange cord and tassels still attached About II
