Description
K-021 U.S. Tiffany M1861 Cavalry saber. All iron pommal/backstrap and 3-branch guard - rusted and darkened. Leather worn away from the grip 35 3/4 slightly curved heavy blade with a fuller. Marked with a star, "TC" and "TIFFANY & CO". Spine is stamped "RM & SB". Overall dark with pitting. The 1861 Government contract called for only 2,800 sabers. No scabbard. III
