Made of bronze, 115 mm cal.; of round shape, with moulded muzzle, divided by rings, featuring the "GR" monogram, under crown, above the vent (King George III 1760-1801). Two cylindrical trunnions and mark "3 22" at the base. scarce.These mortars were called Coehorn mortars to celebrate the Baron Menno de Coehorn (1641-1704) that invented them. Due to his military proficiency he was also known as the Dutch Vauban.
