Galvanitas Oosterhout (Dutch, founded 1934), circa 1970s. A set of eight mid-century modern S16 molded and cherry stained plywood and black patinated pressed steel stacking school chairs, each industrial chair with four steel tapering square legs in a sawhorse or a-frame formation surmounted by backward sloping shaped seat with waterfall front edge, with open form back comprising two tapering black steel supports issuing a curving molded plywood seat back. Each chair with maker's mark to underside of seat. Approximate overall height 31.5", width 15.875", depth 18.5", seat height 18.25", seat depth 16.25".
