EDISON PORCELAIN BASE LIGHT / LAMP BULBS, LOT OF TWO, colorless tipped glass, Thomson-Houston type bases with porcelain insulation, each embossed with patent date of "NOV 3, 96", each retains original paper label with manufacturers name, comprising an example with a frosted finish, label marked "16c / 104v / New Type Edison Lamp", along with various patents; remaining example with label marked "10c / 110" along with interior glass fuse containing a paper label marked "GE", double-loop filament. 1896-1907. 4 1/4" and 5" HOA.
Colorless example with some flakes to edge of porcelain, otherwise each undamaged, tested as not working.
Provenance: Property of The Strong, Rochester, NY, sold to benefit the museum's collections fund.
