ASSORTED SILVER / SILVER-PLATED FLATWARE, LOT OF 89, including eight 7 1/2" butter knives marked "GORHAM MFG. CO. / PATENT 1880", one 8 1/4" Christofel serving spoon marked "ALFE / NIDE", twelve 10" table knives with celluloid handles, steel blades and sterling silver collars, and twelve 8" breakfast knives with mother-of-pearl handles. Late 19th/20th century.
Provenance: From the collection of Gordon and Hildreth Wheeler, Keswick, VA. Items descended from the Scott and McCray families of Richmond, VA.
Most in excellent condition, some with minor dents/bending, three mother-of-pearl handle breakfast knives with non-original collars, probably as repairs, one which lengthens the knife to 8 5/8".
