Robert Henri was one of the most influential artists and teachers in twentieth-century American art. See Lot 203 for an important photographic portrait of Henri by Gertrude Käsebier, taken just prior to the seminal, and only, exhibition of the "The Eight" at the Macbeth Galleries, New York, NY.
