Lot 0167
A pair of brass top bell bottom frame railroad lanterns: (1) typically stamped with 1871 patent date on the lid (this one is not marked) with odd size globe and retainer. Thought to be Parmalee & Bonnell made because of the patent date design on their marked frames. It's complete with an unmarked clear globe (2) Railroad Signal or Dewey 6" frame with removable bell. Complete with older bell design that has a soldered guide for the frame mount. Nice unbent parts with a decent brass cap and a complete ready-to-go bell for some other marked frame. The globe is a standard New England style barrel with large flanges on both ends. The clear globe has no markings. Both need cleaning.
