An interesting advertising broadside for travel to the 1876 Centennial Celebration in Philadelphia. This poster was printed in Nashua, New Hampshire and it advertises travel through South Framingham and the Fall River Line to New York and rail connection to Philadelphia. It is framed and the outer frame measures 20" by 26". The visible portion measures 11" by 18". You can see some old fold lines. It is predominantly blue with some black printing.
Travel by boat between the south shore of New England and New York was popular right up to 1937 when the Fall River Line folded. The Boston Clinton Fitchburg and New Bedford was a line that ran from Newport and Fall river to the Massachusetts industrial cities of Fitchburg & Lowell. This line became part of the Old Colony Railroad. We can ship with reservations. yyy
