A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE BURNISHED AND MATT GILT BRONZE COVERED URNS, LATE 19TH CENTURY, each of vasiform with an acanthus cast domed lid enclosing a fruiting finial, above a slender twist fluted flaring neck flanked by two seated putti playing musical pipes, over scrolling rectangular brackets and a circular drum form body centering a shallow relief frieze of Cupid and putti struggling with a sacrificial goat reversing to frolicking Bacchanalian putti in procession, on a conforming foliate detailed socle ending in a berried laurel trimmed base. Height: 15 1/2" Width: 7 1/4" Depth: 5 3/4"
