A Pair of 18th Century Japanese Jubako / Helmet Cases. Lacquered with a foliate motif and embossed metal fittings. Provenance: The Estate of Dorothy B. Edinburg Each: 17.5" x 18.5"


There are a few small chips to the lacquer on the interior lid rims. A few of the metal mountings a slightly loose but the cases are very stable and sturdy. There is a light amount of minor buckling to the interior lacquer. These cases are in overall very good condition
