Consisting of hundreds of patches of embroidered and printed silk, cotton, and brocade fabrics sewn onto a burgundy velvet backing, some of the images being owls, horses, flowers, birds, children, fruits, fans, and more, several patches bearing the initials ERB, CW, Z, HSB, B, MVB and GEB, some patches sewn in the shape of matching crosses and circles, edged with scarlet silk rope passementerie, backed with a taupe-colored twill. 84" X 60". Some rope edging loose, some possibly replaced, the twill with several light stains and small losses, not affecting the patched side.
