Continental, probably French, early 19th century, figured veneers, elm, oak and other mixed secondary woods, dovetailed drawers, front columns with gilt bronze capitals and bases, 30-1/2 x 27-1/2 x 12 in.. Condition: surface distress with abrasions, scattered stains and veneer flaws, patch at one rear corner of top, some cracks to lower shelf, other scattered repairs and distress, appears to retain original escutcheon, lock and bronze mounts.
