Early to mid 20th century tangerine colored glass bead necklace originating from the Konyak Naga people of Northeast India; the last known tribe engaged in the practice of "head hunting" as late as the 1970's. Necklace is comprised of sixty-eight individual strands of well worn glass trade beads woven into a macrame top secured by a well worn coin button closure. Measures 10" in length.
