This finely crafted jade woman with bird headdress is possibly representative of the Ming Dynasty (1368 to 1644 ce) or the early Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912 ce). The sculpture is 6-3/4 inches tall, 1-3/8 inches wide, and 7/8 inches deep.


The sculpture is sound with no noted defects. The nephrite exhibits surface alteration and waxy patina from professional restoration. From a private collection, this artifact is clean, however will be sold without further restoration (as is).
