This finely carved old jade pei is most likely from the Qing Dynasty (1636 – 1911 ce) reflecting work from older periods. The ornament is approximately 1-3/4 inches long, 3-1/2 inches wide, and 3/16 inch thick (25.4 mm/in) with carved relief of varying depth.

Condition

The nephrite exhibits surface alteration and luster from partial restoration. From a private collection, this pei is clean, without notable flaws, and will be sold without restoration (as is).
