The weekly "Yerushalayim" was published for a short period of a year only: the first issue was published on 12.5.1929 and the last issue, on 2.5.1930. The journal was edited by Dr. Eliyahu Blank as an apolitical journal and was the first to publish a special section for women.
Before us are two rare, important issues of the journal:
A. Yerushalayim - Independent, useful, apolitical [weekly]. Year A, Issue A. the first issue of the journal!
Aviv printing press.
32 pp. 12x18 cm.
Condition: Good. The issue had not been cut during its printing. A small tear at the side of all the leaves with no damage to text.
B. Yerushalayim - Independent, useful, apolitical weekly. 23rd of Av 1929. Year A, Issue 12.
A special issue of the weekly that had been published at the end of "the Week of Blood" (17-22 of Av, 1929). The issue contains a collection of first-hand testimonies, a list of the dead and wounded, a collection of news items and an article by the editor titled "Doomsday".
Ha'Solel printing press.
This issue of the journal is considered a most important source for the details of the 1929 Riots.
Condition: Good. The leaves are detached yet complete.
