An elegant late Victorian - Edwardian sapphire and diamond engagement ring, in 18Kt gold, England, circa 1890 - 1910. This beautiful ring has been expertly crafted out of 18 karat yellow gold and been prong set with, an oval shaped and two round cut, sapphires totaling, approximately, 0.42 carats. All the gems are a rich blue hue, have strong saturation, medium tone and very good clarity. They are complemented by four round cut diamonds, totaling 0.04 carats, all with very good color (E - G) and clarity (VS). The ring is in excellent antique condition, showing expected signs of wear. It weighs approximately 3.6 grams and is U.K ring size K (U.S ring size 5 1/4). The face of the ring measures 0.63 inches (1.6 cm) wide by 0.26 inches (0.65 cm) tall. It bears the British hallmark for 18K gold (confirmed with acid testing). Gorgeous!
