After many years of “sewn paper” work it was necessary for me to return to drawing. Before I began, I tried to realize what I felt inside my body and which kind of texture associated best with this feeling. I was looking for the technique which would enable me to express it with simple and direct graphic signs – the signs which configure my soul, my emotions. To reach my own, true expression and this way instill the work with a power. At the beginning I felt my body as a sort of metal structure. In the first series I used a pencil to obtain the metallic surface – series 2006. After exploration of this level I was looking around me and I felt that bark matter was close to me.Again I looked for the technique to let me express this filling – series 2007-2008.Once I finished “bark” series it was difficult to identify myself with any exterior matter. After many searches I understood that I was “in the body.” The base of the “red drawings” series is like the body texture pattern: the crossing of muscles and tendons – 2009.The deeper I went into myself, the darker the drawings became. In the next level I entered in the darkest part of my body. Then it was impossible to draw with ink or pencil on the black paper surface. I left colors, left drawings. I took scissors to open my new transition of energy. I started the “drawings made with scissors” – series 2010-2011.”Please view the photos, or in person carefully to determine the age, condition, and quality of this lot.
