This is a document cutting bearing the signature of George Washington in thick black ink with the remnants of a red wax seal to the lower left hand bottom side of the cutting and the word “ London “ directly above the signature in a lighter coloured back ink and different pen in the hand of someone else. The actual signature is very thick and heavy and is a very fine example by George Washington. The actual paper has a horizontal line crossing the middle of the paper with writing to the verso. This is a very rare signature mounted and framed with an image and is now 38 cm by 28 cm in size with an white and black trim mount in a wood effect and gilt trim frame.George Washington was the first President of the United States, the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.
