The claret having silver spout, neck, and handle, silver with various engravings including putti riding lion to lid, anthemion and cartouche to neck, molded leaf border to handle, lower glass body intricately etched with beaded garlands and foliate festoons surrounding banded shoulders interrupted by blank and etched portrait cartouches, lower body with eight-pointed stars interspersed between etched foliage, blank cartouche to front, body raised on rounded base with hobstar to underside.
Deep scratch to foliage near front cartouche, some residue to interior near base, light fleabite to body, light fleabiting to hobstar, otherwise presenting well with surface scratches commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
