Hugo Brehme was a Mexican-German photographer. Although born in Germany in 1882, Hugo moved to Mexico in 1905. During the Mexican Revolution, he photographed the distinct factions of the revolutionaries. After the armed conflict in Mexico ended, Hugo traveled across Mexico, creating an important collection of photos showing different views of the country, its cities and its people. His photos contain the artistic sensitivity from his studies in Germany.
