ENGLISH MASON'S IRONSTONE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising two matching plates having bright green rims, cobalt blue interior, bird and floral decorations with gilding, and floral decorations on underside of rim; and one oval-shaped plate with deep green rim, painted and transfer-printed bird and floral decorations. All marked with "MASON'S / PATENT IRONSTONE / CHINA" with crown. Mason's, Staffordshire, England. Second quarter 19th century. 9 3/4" x 7 1/2" and 10 1/4" D.
Excellent, undamaged condition with minor wear from use.
Provenance: De-accessioned from the Reeves Collection, Washington and Lee University, and sold to benefit the Acquisitions Fund.
