Description
A French 19th Century Clock and Garniture Suite. Comprising an ormolu mounted white marble mantle clock and a pair of gilt bronze and white marble candelabra. Clock movement is stamped "Medaille D'argent Vincent & Cie 1855". With key and pendulum. Candelabrum are raised on white marble urns with satyr head and hoof feet supports over white marble and bronze bases. Susanin's will not comment on the working condition of any watch or clock movement Candelabra: 18.75" x 9" Clock: 23.5" x 11" x 8"
Condition
There are several pen-tip sized nicks to the edges of the marble in the clock house and a .5" brownish stain to the lower front of the base. One of the garniture pieces is a little loose on it's base. The other has a chip of marble missing between the stone and the metal base. One of it's arms is bent out of round with the other two. Both have a small amount of wax residue among the flowers. This set shows very well
