No. 370. “Headquarters Gen’l Porter, Farnhold’s House and York River in the Distance.” Tents in the background, soldiers at right and in front of the house. Behind these with his leg on a railing is a young black man, In front of them is a seated black man who appears very comfortable. Were they house slaves?
