A very fine antique Chinese bronze censer, band of floral petal encircled the countersunk flat base, rising the cylindrical straight body to flat wide opening. Two deer masks emerged under the rim, created handles, beneath the repeating key fret pattern ribbon. The dome lid decorated with pierced scrolling tendrils supported the characteristically nephrite jade finial with elaborate carving of deer interspersed by dense of foliate motif. Exquisitely displayed upon carved hardwood pedestal stand.
Mark on Base, incised four characters.
