The Chinese celadon nephrite jade carved unto a bulbous deep vessel, banded on the rim, raised on splayed concave foot base. The wooden dome lid pierced with scrolling floral motif supporting the pale-brownish carved scared LingZhi mushroom jade finial. Presented on a carved hardwood stand. Two curved handles projecting from the body. The Censer is finely polished, having simple design yet elegant, with clean even tone and moist milky appearance.

PROVENANCE: Acquired from a vast Connecticut estate collection in 2007 with records indicating that they were purchased over several years during the early 1900's and up until the 1915's from the JS Ltd Company New York. Pieces of history being passed on to the future.
