The vase is stoutly potted of characteristic MeiPing form, It has a narrow base, a wide body, heavy toward shoulder, with narrow neck further to banded rim and a small opening. Delicately decorated around the exterior with various tones and shades of cobalt blue under glazed depicted continuous ceremony scene of female figures under the moon within terraced garden landscape. The foot banded with upright lappets enclosing the suspending clouds uptala, and further scrolling leafy uptala encircling the collar. Elegantly presented upon a carved hardwood stand.
The underside base left unglazed, reveal pale-creme with burnt grayish-orange spots in the firing.

PROVENANCE: From the heirs of Sir John Dorrington and the Vosper estates from Stroud Gloucestershire these items were purchased by a prominent antiques collector in 2008. Seeking historical and collectible items he attended numerous auctions and estate sales in the area as well as from nearby countries. Sometimes finding a rarity sometimes just the camaraderie of fellow collectors.
