The pair of Chinese gilt bronze cloisonne enamel MeiPing vases cast in shape of a bulbous vessel, heavy on the rounded shoulder, tapered to short and narrow neck, with banded rim, raised on flat banded foot base. The vase characterized with two gilt ferocious dragons climbed encircling on the collar. The exterior vividly decorated with colorful leafy lotus tendril foliate against turquoise-blue enamel ground. Banded with petal lappets on the collar and foot. The exterior vividly decorated with colorful leafy lotus tendril foliate against turquoise-blue enamel ground.

Mark both base, protruding four script -KaiShu- characters, enclosed within receded square frame border, XuanDe Reign Period.

Dimension: 12-1/2" H x 8-1/2" W (each)

Condition

Traced numerous tiny-holes of corrosions on enamel filling, No missing wires found on cloisonne works. With normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents, and trace of declined on gilt. Normal, consider ages and wear. Over all in excellent condition.
