SMITHS - a gentleman's De Luxe wrist watch. 9ct yellow gold case, hallmarked Edinburgh 1955. Numbered 43228. Unsigned manual wind movement. Silvered dial with alternating Arabic numeral and arrowhead hour markers. Fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 31mm. Movement is currently functioning. Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye. Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Second hand is heavily rusted.Glass has scratches and marks. Case shows scratches, marks and dints. Engraving has been removed from the case back. This has resulted in some moderate discolouration.Crown has noticeable scratches and dinting. Surface of the crown is heavily pitted and discoloured.Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing. Buckle appears to be in good condition with minor marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.
