Lot 1189
Rookwood vase with neat floral decoration painted and incised around the decoration but never glazed, the work of Katherine Van Horne in 1912. Consider this a learning tool. The artist's hand is clearly evident but the intended Vellum glaze was never applied, perhaps because of some staining near the bottom that interrupted the process. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 1660 F, impressed V and the incised monogram of the artist. Height 6 1/4 inches.
