    Alfred Eisenstaedt (1898-1995) was a German-American photographer and photojournalist who was one of the most prolific photographers of the 20th century. To escape Germany at the start of WWII he moved to New York in 1935. He became a staff photographer for Life Magazine which featured more than 90 of his pictures on its covers with over 2,500 photo stories published.
