Exquisite Native American Lidded Mission Church Melon Jar by Andrew Padilla, signed by artist and measures 7.5''H x 9.5''D, 2 small chips under lid and hairline pressure crack (you really have to look for it) on top of jar however they do not take away from the beauty of this piece, FYI: ''Andrew Padilla was born to in 1956. He says he learned the basics of the traditional art of pottery making from his paternal grandmother, Reycita Padilla of Santa Clara Pueblo. He figures he's been making pottery for about 45 years now. Over the years Andrew has won many awards and tells us his favorite shapes to make are melons, especially when he can add a lid shaped like the profile of the Laguna Mission church. He also enjoys fashioning all-white wedding vases. He says he gets his inspiration from taking hikes in Nature.''
