Double sided handwritten letter from Napoleon I (1769-1821) to Monsieur Otto, dated September 30, 1806, Mayence. The letter concerns a courier to Aracenau regarding General Mesle and communication with Italy during the Napoleonic Wars. The Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815) were a series of global conflicts between the French Army and various European alliances. Receipt, Godspeed's Book Shop, dated December 21, 1972 for $350.00. 8.87"h x 7.25"w.
