Framed chromolithograph on glass by Frank Tuchfarber (active 1870-1890) after "The Old Violin" by William Harnett. Tuchfarber purchased Harnett's trompe l'oeil painting from the 1886 13th Cincinnati Industrial Exposition. He then executed chromolithographs on paper and glass using 17 stones. Tuchfarber copyright line and date lower right. Bears Sanborn Vail & Co label verso. Sight: 34.5"h x 23.62"w. Framed: 43"h x 32.25"w.
