Important, Large Chinese Ming WuCai Fish Pond stoutly potted vessel, steep sides rising from flat base, to flat wide opening. The exterior delicately painted in various rich tones of cobalt blue underglaze of continuous scene depicting group of children in various pursuits against terraced garden landscape. Banded with floral scrolling foliate pattern under the rim. The underside left unglazed, with pale-creme base and orange-brownish firing spots.
Mark on under the rim, of six blue script -KaiShu- Characters, enclosed by rectangular frame, JiaJing Reign Period of Great Ming. Waisted body,
