A nice Egyptian faience ushabti, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite wig and false beard, arms folded across chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag over left shoulder, column of text down the front, vertical plinth down back. A detailed example, the glaze now a brownish color. H: 4 1/3 in (11cm). Mounted on a wood base. Ex Estate of Harold Whitaker.
