A Coptic bone head from a doll, Roman Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD, nicely detailed with large eyes and angular nose, a long wedge or tang at bottom for attachment to the body which would have been made in another substance like cloth. H: 2 1/2 in (6.4cm). Mounted on a custom wood base. Ex Upstate New York private collection.
