Queen Anne period quilted fragment, quilting in the form of large leaves in running stitch, a line of scrolls and flowers all with button hole stitched centres, possibly once part of a bodice, and headdress with front of intricate lace, displaying flowers and large heart form leaves, self coloured raised embroidery, top and rear point of hood with black embroidery with the initials, M R the panels edging the lace, a later edition, possibly further alterations.Provenance: An important collection of International Historical textiles.
