The white horse Turaga emerged from the churning primordial milk ocean - Vishnu, who plays a leading role, has fetched him. The painting shows four-armed Vishnu with golden crown and radiant nimbus, leading the winged steed, here a symbol for kingship, power and also wisdom. Vishnu could be here more than a Maharaja, depiction in the background of a big white palace compound. Border with partly floral, partly geometric motifs. This miniature originates from a writing of Bhagavadgita with illustration of the ten Avatara Vishnus
